The gallery presents two artists who have already shown together in the Palladio Basilica with great interaction: Iler Melioli and Tamara Repetto.
The human being is an organism which lives through body, instinct, emotion and culture. Tamara Repetto and Iler Melioli combine these feelings with their linguistic code.
Our proposal for Volta Basel may be seen as a synesthetic booth.
Repetto shows Anosmia, a multisensorial installation of sound and smell in relation with two other works on each wall: Frattali (fractals), a non conventional geometric drawing on paper, Costellazioni (Constellations) an open work made with violin bows which creates a connection between sound and silence, signs and movement.
In the same way we have connections in Iler Melioli work Geometrie d’ambiente, a 5 meters wall with no distinction between painting and wall, two- and three- dimension, surface and structure. On an external wall we would show Melioli acrylic on aluminium neo minimal work.
A complex rigorous booth for Volta Basel: lines, sounds, perfumes fill up the space and create an expansion of it. Melioli and Repetto have different expressive codes, but the structure is coherent. The way in which they both interact with the space makes a synergetic whole. As the visitor enters the booth a photocell will give start to sound and perfume on his right and on his left. We hope to lead him to a real experience on open minded look on nature and technology in connection.
